As we see Dad's ankle changing colors and still very swollen, we know that it was the right decision to stop the pilgrimage. It's disappointing but for the best in the long run.
Yesterday morning we still managed to walk around Ivrea and we saw the cathedral and castle. Then last night we went back into the centre of town for a nice meal and gelati followed by a show with horses which was taking place in the main Piazza. It was a fun evening out.
Today I would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to the best Dad!! I'm glad we get to spend time together and I love you!!
This afternoon we are taking a bus to Santhia where we will be staying tonight and hopefully visit a couple things there. And tomorrow we will take a train to Vercelli where Mom will meet us to bring us back to Switzerland!
Quand on voit que la cheville de papa change de couleurs et est toujours aussi enflée, on sait qu'on a pris la bonne décision en arrêtant le pèlerinage. C'est décevant bien sûr mais pour le mieux.
Hier matin nous avons quand même réussi à visiter un peu Ivrea et vu la cathédrale et le château. Puis hier soir, nous sommes retournés au centre de la ville pour un bon repas et de la glace suivi d'un spectacle équestre sur la place principale. Une chouette soirée!
Aujourd'hui je voudrais souhaiter un Joyeux Anniversaire au meilleur papa!! Je suis contente qu'on passe du temps ensemble et je t'aime!!
Cet après-midi, nous prenons le bus pour Santhia où nous restons ce soir et espérons visiter un peu. Puis demain nous prendrons le train pour Vercelli où maman nous retrouvera pour nous ramener en Suisse!
