Today was hard as I had to say goodbye to my Dad. He is leaving for
Germany this week and won't be back before I depart for my pilgrimage
on 10 June, so I won't seem him until September.
He has been a great support and coach throughout my preparation for
the Camino and I will miss him. As we were going over a couple things
last night and he was giving me advice and tips, he gave (lent) me the
shell that had followed him all the way to Santiago in 2003 and we put
it on my pack. Thanks Dad, I love you!
I must also thank my Mom and brother Luke without whom this would not
be possible. Thank you both for your support, I love you both!
C'était dur aujourd'hui car j'ai dû dire au revoir à mon papa. Il part pour l'Allemagne cette semaine et il ne sera pas de retour avant mon départ pour le pélerinage le 10 juin, je le verrai donc pas avant septembre.
Il m'a énormément soutenu et coaché durant toute la préparation du Camino et il va me manquer. Nous étions en train de parler de quelques détails et il me donnait les derniers conseils hier soir. Il m'a donné (prêté) la coquille St-Jacques qui l'avait suivi jusqu'à Santiago en 2003 et nous l'avons mis sur mon sac à dos. Merci papa, je t'aime!
Je dois aussi remercier ma maman et mon frère Luke, sans qui cette aventure ne serait pas possible. Merci donc à vous deux pour votre soutien, je vous aime!
