Day 14 / Étape 14

14) Bellegarde-Poussieu - Clonas-sur-Varese

Sunny, then cloudy with rain / Ensoleillé puis nuageux et pluie

We left André and Danielle a little late this morning as we wanted to take advantage of the wifi and we needed to take care of the feet, Dad has a couple blisters... We left under the sun but we could hear the thunder far away. We had our first break under a tree and then continued till St-Romain-de-Surieu where we found another tree and nice grassy place to eat lunch. We can see the storm coming closer so we left and went up towards the forest. The rain starts and we manage to reach a garage just before the heavy rain comes. It's time to get the rain gear out! We stayed there a few minutes until the worst was gone. We then head into the forest, but it's a good rain and sunny e must be careful on the rocky paths who have become quite slippery. We then go down to Assieu where we find a bar to take a break and dry a little. The rain stops and we follow a little road to Clonas where we are warmly greeted and have a good time of sharing with Daniel and Marie-Jo!

Nous sommes partis de chez André et Danielle un peu en retard ce matin car nous voulions profiter du wifi et soigner nos pieds, papa a 2-3 cloques. Nous partons sous le soleil mais nous entendons le ciel gronder au loin. Nous faisons un première pause sous un arbre puis nous continuons jusqu'à St-Romain-de-Surieu où nous trouvons un terrain d'herbe et un arbre sous lequel manger. Les orages se rapprochent alors nous repartons et montons vers la forêt. La pluie commence et nous nous mettons à l'abri sous un garage, juste avant que les grosses gouttes arrivent. C'est le moment de mettre nos ponchos! Nous restons là quelques minutes en attendant que cela se calme, puis nous allons dans la forêt. C'est une bonne pluie rendant les sentiers de pierres glissantes alors la prudence s'impose! Nous descendons à Assieu où nous trouvons un bar pour faire une pause et sécher un peu. La pluie s'arrête et nous suivons la route jusqu'à Clonas. Bon accueil et partage chez Daniel et Marie-Jo!
