It has been an eventful week so far with many emotions. Monday I passed the 1000km mark, a major pschological barrier! Also saw our first live snake in Spain, a very close encounter as it was on the path between Dad and I, only a step away, yikes! I screamed and Dad tried to get a picture, it was blurry but you could still see the snake fleeing. We got to the major city of Burgos on Tuesday and on Wednesday, Dad walked the first 5km wih me but then returned to Burgos as he is heading back to Switzerland to work again on Monday. He spent the day in Burgos and took a train to Barcelona and he is on the night train now to Geneva, will be there tomorrow morning. It was great to have him with me for 3 weeks and I was sad to see him leave, but I must continue onward with my Camino and will hopefully be back home in a month or so. A very big THANK YOU Dad, I loved the 3 weeks we spent together!
As I left Burgos, I entered the Meseta, which will take me all the way to Leon. The Meseta is the Spanish desert, known for it's heat, dryness, monotoneous landscape of wheat fields and lack of shade! This will probably be a good opportunity for me to reflect especially now that I'm walking on my own again. I have already met several new friends and even caught up with old ones so evening in the albergues should be good. Continue to pray for me as I continue walking in search for God's plan for my life, may He speak to me in a special way through the Meseta.

Que d'emotions cette semaine. Lundi j'ai passe la marque des 1000km, une barriere psychologique majeure! Nous avons aussi vu notre premier serpent vivant en Espagne, une rencontre de tres pres car il etait sur le chemin entre papa et moi, a seulement quelques centimetres, ah! J'ai crie et papa a essaye de prendre une photo, un peu flou mais on le voit en train de partir. Mardi, nous sommes arrives dans la grande ville de Burgos et mercredi, papa a marche avec moi pour les 5 premiers km puis il est retourne a Burgos car il rentre en Suisse pour reprendre le travail lundi. Il a passe la journee a Burgos et a pris un train pour Barcelone ce matin ou il prend le train de nuit pour Geneve et arrive demain matin. J'etais triste de le voir partir mais je dois aller de l'avant avec mon Camino et j'espere être de retour dans un mois environ. Un grand MERCI a toi papa, j'ai vraiment adore ces 3 semaines ensemble.
En quittant Burgos, j'entre dans la Meseta, qui m'emmenera jusqu'a Leon. La Meseta est le desert espagnol, connu pour sa chaleur, sa secheresse, ses paysages monotones de champs de ble et son manque d'ombre! Ceci sera une bonne opportunite de reflexion pour moi, surtout car je marche a nouveau seule. J'ai deja rencontre de nouveaux amis et rattrape d'anciens donc les soirees dans les gites devraient être bien. Merci de continuer a prier pour moi comme je marche en quête du plan de Dieu pour ma vie, qu'Il puisse me parler specialement dans la Meseta.
